‘Forever Susan’ Asiatic Lily Bulb
An easy to grow Asiatic lily bulb. An eye-catching flower in perfect Virginia Tech colors of burgundy and orange and a great performer to boot.
Asiatic or Asian lilies are a very easy to grow garden plant grown from a bulb, adapt well to most soils, great for forcing to bloom indoors, and are prolific reproducers and bloomers with excellent-long lasting flowers. They are also perfect for container growing or landscape border plantings! Asiatic lilies produce no scent which makes them great for allergenic sufferers!
They come in almost every color of the rainbow and bloom early Spring and sometimes into July, and they grow very well in Zones 3 to 10. Asians or Asiatic lilies are the easiest for the beginner, multiply fast, and come in a wide range of colors — white, yellow, orange, red, pink and all shades and color combinations, except blue. Flowers are mostly up-facing except for a few smaller garden gems carrying outfacing blooms; all will be exciting when their new buds open. Asian or Asiatic lilies multiply rapidly, bloom for a long time, are not fragrant. Although generally unscented, a light scent sometimes can be detected during a warm day with little or no wind.
