About Oriental Lily Bulbs
A cross between the Korean L. speciosum and the Japanese L. auratum, Oriental Lilies have large flowers with reflexed flower petals and a wonderfully sweet fragrance. Prized by garden and floral designers alike, Oriental Lilies are a mainstay of summer perennial gardens and lavish cut flower arrangements. A bit more temperamental than Orienpet and Trumpet Lilies. So, oriental lily bulbs, in some regions, might take a bit more care.
Asiatic and Oriental are two of the most popular forms of true lilies available. Asian lilies bloom in June to July. Likewise, Oriental lily bulbs start to appear late July. Both are quite easy to grow with thick, rigid stems. Together with large dark green leaves. And large showy flowers. Orientals also thrive in cooler regions and can tolerate less than ideal soil conditions. Oriental lily bulbs produce a great fragrant lily flower plant!
