About Oriental Lily Bulbs
A cross between the Korean L. speciosum and the Japanese L. auratum, Oriental Lilies have large flowers with reflexed flower petals and a wonderfully sweet fragrance. Prized by garden and floral designers alike, Oriental Lilies are a mainstay of summer perennial gardens and lavish cut flower arrangements. A bit more temperamental than Orienpet and Trumpet Lilies. So, oriental lily bulbs, in some regions, might take a bit more care.
Asiatic and Oriental are two of the most popular forms of true lilies available. Asian lilies bloom in June to July. Likewise, Oriental lily bulbs start to appear late July. Both are quite easy to grow with thick, rigid stems. Together with large dark green leaves. And large showy flowers. Orientals also thrive in cooler regions and can tolerate less than ideal soil conditions. Oriental lily bulbs produce a great fragrant lily flower plant!
Location of Playtime Oriental Lily Bulbs

Playtime Oriental Lily Plant Care
Lilies are one of the easiest plants to care for. Once Oriental lily bulbs begin to grow and bloom, keep them moderately moist. When blooms are spent, deadhead. Then, allow most of the foliage to remain. In addition, cut off stalks as yellowing begins. This will help fuel the bulb for the next year’s bloom. Fertilize bulbs twice annually, Spring and Fall. Equally important, if blooms get large or begin to flop over, stake them until flowers are spent.
